Angelina Jolie talks family
She told Jon Stewart that she wants between ‘ 7 and 13 and 14’ kids
NEW YORK, NY - With Angelina Jolie, you never know exactly where in the world she’s going to turn up or what she’s going to say when she gets there. Last night, the actress made an appearance in New York and the topic of conversation was family.
“I’m great,” she told host Jon Stewart at the “Daily Show.” “I’ve got a big, crazy, happy family and I’m used to chaos and I’m very lucky.”
Stewart asked her how many children she hoped to have.
“It fluctuates between 7 and 13 and 14,” she said.
Stewart noted he had just two children and that was already “kicking his ass.” He told Angelina he admired her wish for a larger family.
“Four’s kind of kicking our ass, but we kind of fell like ‘Damn it! We’re up for the challenge,” she said.
A few channels away, Larry King took a more direct approach.
“Would you adopt again,” the veteran CNN host asked.
“Yeah,” Jolie replied. “Not tomorrow.”
“How about a natural birth again?”
“Yeah, I’d consider it,” she said. “Absolutely.”
“Access Hollywood ” can confirm Angelina is not pregnant, but in an effort to protect the privacy of Angelina and Brad, Jolie’s reps asked some press, (not “Access”) at the New York “A Mighty Heart” premiere to sign an agreement not to ask personal questions.
“I don’t think I would consider it blocking freedom of press to say, ‘I don’t want to say whether or not I’m pregnant right now,’” Jolie told King.
She also told the CNN host that a relationship is not about having fun together it’s about the desire to create the same thing in life and in family.
“We talk about it often at home — how we’re gonna raise our children ... We don’t want them to be spoiled and we don’t want them to be attached to things, and we don’t want them to, or take fame seriously, or anything like that, we want them to be good people, like all parents.”
And the Jolie-Pitts seem to have found a grounded place in an ungrounded existence.
“When one of us is working the other is with the kids, when we shot ‘A Mighty Heart,’ he was figuring out fun things in India to do with the children,” Angelina said.

In Hollywood you can see a lot of celebrities getting divorced in a minute after they are married. From Jennifer Lopez to Brad Pitt, they have had a wide range of wives and husbands. There are celebrities who do not even get married in the first place but just keeps changing their mates. It is probably due to the celebrities' duties such as shooting film or going on a tour which gives them no time to actually be with their lovers.
In this complicated Hollywood life, Brad Pitt has again married a fine woman after his divorce with Jennifer Aniston whom we used to think was a perfect wife to Pitt. The two are currently raising three children: two adopted and one their own. Angelina Jolie has interest in humanities and has adopted a Cambodian refugee boy and an Ethiopian refugee girl in her custody. Saying that she wants more children to make a larger family does predict that her love life should last, but that fact is unpredictable. You never know what will happen because a couple you thought would last a life time can end up seperate in a flash. These couple are not an exception either. We may pray for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's happy big family to happen like Jolie wishes but there is a chance that it may just stay her wish. We never know, in the future we may look back at the days when we thought Pitt and Jolie were the perfect match. We just never know Hollywood.

Toothpaste May Contain Chemical

Five-ounce tubes of toothpaste labeled Colgate and sold in discount stores in four states are being recalled because they may contain a diethylene glycol, a chemical found in antifreeze, according to the importer. A Food and Drug Administration official, Doug Arbesfeld, confirmed that the chemical was found in a product with the Colgate label, but he said the agency was unsure if it was Colgate or a counterfeit. The toothpaste was sold in discount stores in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland. “Made in South Africa” is printed on the box. Varieties include regular, gel, triple and herbal. Consumers can return the toothpaste to the place of purchase for a refund, MS USA Trading said. (AP)
In today’s world, buying toothpaste at a drugstore is not even safe any more. There might not be anything safe anymore if such a daily object like toothpaste turns out to contain chemical. Because our world is very high tech and has developed to full limit, there is a higher chance of hiding chemical or even worse toxins in our daily materials. The more technology develops the more we are vulnerable to negative effects from it.
It is not easy to know whether what you are buying is harmful to you or not. However we must have in mind that anything can happen in today’s world. 911 happened and no one expected it. Bombings and terror happens almost everyday in some places around the world. This complicating world is turning our lives even more miserable than years ago. It may be that the days when we knew nothing about computers and cell phones were better days. The most that could happen was getting executed for wrongdoing.
Although we may think that the world has gotten a lot more convenient, there are many negative effects to it that can kill us. Even toothpaste that we take for granted could have almost gotten us. Believe it or not the world is developing into a scary one.

Evaluate a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you.
As I woke up one Sunday morning, I felt I needed more sleep but had no time to waste. I needed to rush and be at an orphanage no later than an hour. It is my weekly job to volunteer at an orphanage and take care of kids that are just 3 years old or younger. These kids have brought me a definite change in mind and emotion.
I used to think that my life was mundane; it needed a change of stream. I went to school everyday following the same schedule studying for math, geography, and other subjects that I did not think I needed in real life. Sometimes I also thought that my parents were overprotective. They needed me in their sight. I could not be out late nor go out with my friends as I pleased without letting my parents know where I would be. It was not a fun life with my parents around to harass me. The thought of my parents and my humdrum life made me feel frustrated and wish that I could be someone else with a more exciting life.
My first few visits to the orphanage were honestly for my extra curricular activities because I needed them for me to get into college. However, after a few visits I started missing those children as I went back home. I was actually looking forward to going back to the orphanage; I needed to go back. The children were just two or three years old and had the most innocent faces on them. They were children who were brought to the orphanage because their parents could not financially provide for them. They had no idea who their parents were and all lived in one small room. Yet, they had the happiest smiles on their faces and did not fear to meet a stranger. They greeted me like they knew me all their lives. As I helped take care of them, mostly just play with them, I felt warmth in the children.
I worried that these children will come of age when they realize that they are different from other kids their age; they grew up in an orphanage without knowing who their parents were which would be a big concern in a child’s life. I wanted to give them all my care and love so they would not envy a parent’s love but I knew that I could not replace the warmth of a mother’s hug or the saccharine of a father’s kiss. It made me sad to think that as I always disliked being disturbed by my mom or my dad these kids did not even get an opportunity to know what it is like to have a fight with a parent.
I tried my best to make up for their emptiness every week, and every week I felt more ashamed to myself. I realized there are other people out there who do not get half the hospitality that I get. While I was complaining about my life and my parents, people with worse situations than me like orphans or people on the streets desire my life. From that moment the world seemed really unfair how some lived with nothing more to wish for while some wished for everything. I wanted to help more than these orphanage kids; I wanted to reach out to the people that are not noticed in the world and help them or at least be of company. Seeing the children grow up made me proud and made me wish they would grow up harmlessly with the help of my effort.
